Badminton Round Robin

Every pair plays everyone else, standings are clean, and there are no draws-each match produces a winner.

Core flow

  • Everyone plays everyone

    Each team faces every other team once in the group.

  • Match format(s)

    Best of three games to 21 (win by 2, cap at 30).

    Best of one game to 25 (win by 2, cap at 30).

  • Ranking

    Most wins ranks highest. No ties-every match must produce a winner.

Tie-breakers

  1. Head-to-head Winner of the match between tied teams ranks higher.
  2. Games ratio Higher ratio of games won to games lost.
  3. Points ratio Higher ratio of points won to points lost.
  4. Coin toss Only if everything else is still level.
Withdrawals

If a team withdraws or is disqualified, their results may be removed from the table to keep rankings fair.

Retirements

If a team retires mid-match, it counts as a loss; no incomplete matches are recorded as draws.
